Archeology is the science that studies the evolution of human civilization from our primate ancestors to today.
The Lourinhã Museum’s Archeology collection includes:
- In pre-history: the Paleolithic , the Mesolithic , the Neolithic , the Chalcolithic and the phenomenon of megalithism .
- In history: the Roman Civilization and the Middle Ages .
From each period we intend to show the most important elements of the collection, or of the Lourinhã area, whether they are archaeological deposits or important objects.
