O Grupo de Etnologia e Arqueologia da Lourinh\u00e3 (GEAL)\/Museu da Lourinh\u00e3, em coorganiza\u00e7\u00e3o com o Dino Parque Lourinh\u00e3, lan\u00e7a a X edi\u00e7\u00e3o do Concurso Internacional de Ilustra\u00e7\u00e3o de Dinossauros (CIID).<\/p>\n

O CIID \u00e9 um concurso que visa premiar ilustra\u00e7\u00f5es sobre a tem\u00e1tica dos dinossauros, e outras esp\u00e9cies j\u00e1 extintas. Este ano com o tema sugerido \u201cfauna Cenozoica\u201d, que inclui animais ic\u00f3nicos como mamutes e tigres dentes de sabre, n\u00e3o invalidando ilustra\u00e7\u00f5es representativas de dinossauros ou outros organismos f\u00f3sseis.

Esta iniciativa \u00e9 reconhecida internacionalmente pelo seu valor cient\u00edfico e alta qualidade t\u00e9cnica, e \u00e9, sem d\u00favida alguma, um est\u00edmulo importante para o continuo desenvolvimento da Paleoarte. Esta disciplina \u00e9 fundamental para a divulga\u00e7\u00e3o cient\u00edfica da Paleontologia, pois oferece uma vis\u00e3o privilegiada da vida destes organismos e do seu ambiente.<\/p>\n

As obras ser\u00e3o avaliadas por um painel de jurados composto por paleont\u00f3logos e ilustradores cient\u00edficos reconhecimentos internacionalmente, que garantem a qualidade das obras premiadas.<\/p>\n

O vencedor ser\u00e1 contemplado com um pr\u00e9mio no valor de 1.000\u20ac. Este ano, pela primeira vez existir\u00e1 um pr\u00e9mio especifico para obras digitais em 3D.<\/p>\n

As obras a concurso poder\u00e3o ser submetidas at\u00e9 dia 31 de maio, e ser\u00e3o expostas publicamente de 6 de agosto a 30 de novembro. Os resultados ser\u00e3o anunciados durante o m\u00eas de agosto.<\/p>\n

O p\u00fablico poder\u00e1 assim apreciar estas obras de arte, bem como ficar a conhecer melhor o mundo em que estes seres antigos viviam.

The Grupo de Etnologia e Arqueologia da Lourinh\u00e3 (GEAL)\/Museu da Lourinh\u00e3, in coorganization with Dino Parque Lourinh\u00e3, launches the X Edition of the International Dinosaur Illustration Contest (CIID).<\/p>\n

The CIID is a contest which aims to award dinosaur-themed illustrations, as well as other extinct species. This year with the suggested theme \u201cCenozoic fauna\u201d, which includes iconic animals such as mammoths and sabretooths tigers. Representations of dinosaurs or other fossil organisms are also accepted.<\/p>\n

This initiative is internationally recognized by its scientific merit e high technical quality, and it is an important stimulus for the continued development of Paleoart. This discipline is vital to the scientific outreach of Paleontology, for it offers a privileged insight of the life of these organisms and its environment.<\/p>\n

The artwork will be evaluated by a panel of internationally recognized paleontologists and scientific illustrators, who guarantee the quality of the awardees.<\/p>\n

The winner will be awarded with a sum of 1000\u20ac. This year, for the first time there will be an award dedicated to 3D digital art.<\/p>\n

The artwork can be submitted until May 31st<\/sup>, and will publicly exhibited from August 6th<\/sup> to November 30th<\/sup>. The results will be announced during the month of August.<\/p>\n

The public will be able to enjoy the artwork, as well as diving into the world on which these ancient organisms lived.<\/p>\n
